I’m Penny, a Master Health and Wellness Coach committed to helping people make meaningful, sustainable changes to their health and daily habits.

My story starts in the Midwest, where I grew up during a time when eating well was simply how we lived. My grandfather owned a restaurant that served breakfast and lunch to the hardworking crew at Sunshine Biscuit. At home, our meals were made from scratch — fresh beef, garden vegetables, fruits, and eggs were always on the table. The only exception? The occasional pizza from our favorite family-owned parlor in town.

And while I risk dating myself, my childhood was filled with movement: riding bikes, walking to school, staying out until the streetlights came on. I took tap and ballet, cheered in high school, and even though I was never particularly athletic, most of my generation got plenty of exercise without ever thinking about it. We didn’t attend church every Sunday, but we practiced our faith in the way we lived — with gratitude, resilience, and a sense of community.

Fast forward to today, and those roots still shape how I coach.

When I became a certified Master Health and Wellness Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, I embraced the L.E.A.N. approach:
Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition — four pillars for helping people live healthier, happier lives.

Tandem Lifestyle builds on that foundation.
To me, wellness doesn’t happen in isolation. We thrive when we feel supported, encouraged, and connected — knowing we’re not doing it all alone.

That’s the heart of Tandem: the idea that real change happens when we move forward together.

I’ve seen time and again that when people feel forced to follow health advice they don’t understand or don’t believe in, progress stalls. My job is to help you reconnect to your own motivation — and build habits that feel both doable and meaningful.
